IELTS - Recommended Books

First of all, If u intend to take the Ielts (and absolutely, want to get high mark), you may have to buy books (it means that you have to spend money on buying books that really necessary for your study). Nevertheless, the question is: Which books should you buy? Since in the book market, there are hundreds of books. Thus, I recommend some useful books only - that make best efficiency (those are also recommended by my Acet teachers). Additionally, you can use other books which u have now, in order to improve your skills; such as you can read every English book to improve your Reading skill and vocabs, grammar, listening skill as well; or you can listen to CDs English music, radio,... to enhance ur listening skill.

Secondly, you should also spend time to study and practice. No one can make sure that they can take every exam in a very short time that they clearly do not have any information abt it recently. Thus, one more thing you had better not too hurry. If you try your best, and you have a hugh determination, you can get at least 6 band score over all in about 3 months(your time is only for studying English, not for other activities such as working, travelling...). Otherwise, you will need about 6 months at least to get 6 if you are an employee now (except you are a great talent !!!)

1. Oxford Advanced learner's Dict (7th edition)
2. Collins Thesaurus A-Z dict (the red one, u should buy the bigger one, do not buy Pocket edition: http://www.xunhasaba.com.vn/index.php?productID=1554 or u can go to Thuat Bookshop (80 or 82 Ba Trieu Str, near Tran Quoc Toan Str)
3. Oxford collocations (should be used on Computer, u can find it through the net)
